With a love of travel and the vacation lifestyle, Paulette wanted a part-time job that would continue to expose her to the traveling public. She also loves to cook and wanted more time to explore her culinary talent. She found the opportunity to do both in the little town of Shemogue ("shim-o-GWEE"), New Brunswick, where she enjoys her post-retirement life as both a hostess and sous chef at a local Inn.
“As a hostess, I enjoy greeting the guests at the Inn,” explains Paulette. They come from all over and it is a great chance for me to compare stories about people and places that I am fortunate enough to have known and seen. I also love to cook and have done all of my learning on the job. I have learned so much from Chef Patre at the Inn!”
Paulette’s passion for people and customer service have served her well throughout her career - best of all, she has redirected that passion into a flexible, part-time, post-retirement occupation that keeps her flying high.
